R1 FITeens toolkit

One of the main barriers to implementing healthy living programmes in schools is the lack of teacher training. Different studies suggest that the sustainability of such programmes depends to a large extent on schools developing and retaining knowledgeable, skilled and motivated leaders and senior staff. It is therefore vitally important to provide teachers with training in health education so that such interventions in schools can be more successful.

This result consists of the creation of a complete toolkit for teachers that covers different health-related behaviours (physical activity, sleep time, sedentary recreational screen time, alcohol and tobacco consumption, and healthy diet) so they can incorporate them in their teaching practices.
