To decorate:


1. In a large frying pan, heat a splash of oil over high heat and add the minced meat. When browned, reduce the heat to low, add the finely chopped garlic and onion and stir until combined. 

Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2. Add the crushed tomato. Season to taste with salt and pepper and cook over a low heat while stirring to prevent sticking.

3. Put salted water in a saucepan and, when it comes to the boil, add the wholemeal pasta. When the time recommended by the manufacturer has expired, drain and place on a plate.

4. Cover the pasta with the bolognese and finish the recipe by sprinkling the grated cheese on top.
